Important Tour Information

• This is a Boat dive trip

• You must have a scuba certification

• If your last dive was more that 1 years ago, we require you to take a refresher

• Minimum age: 10 years old

• Maximum of 4 guests per tour (small groups for quality & safety)

• All of our boat dives are drift dives (we don't anchor)

We strongly recommend that all visitors to Vieques purchase travel insurance. Travel insurance helps protect you against unexpected delays, medical emergencies, weather disruptions, and trip interruptions while traveling to the island.

Cancellation Policy

It is the guest's responsibility to arrive to Vieques Island in time for reserved activities. Travel delays to Vieques do not constitute a reason for refunds. It is at the discretion of Black Beard Sports to issue refunds or reschedule tours that fall within our cancellation policy timeframes.

Small Party Booking Cancellation Policy (1-5 people): Once the reservation is complete, you must provide more than 24 hour notice in the event of a cancellation to be eligible for a full refund. If a cancellation is made within 24 hours of the tour, a refund will not be issued.

Group Booking Cancellation Policy (6+ people): Once the group reservation is complete, you must provide 1 week notice in the event of a change or cancellation to be eligible for a full refund. If changes or cancellations are made between 7 days and 24 hours prior to the tour, a refund of 50% for the cancelled activity will apply. If a cancellation is made within 24 hours of the tour, a refund will no be issued.

Rescheduling Fees: If a tour is rescheduled by the guest (for small party or group bookings) within the 24 hour period of the tour, a non-refundable $25/person rescheduling fee will be applied. Cancellations of rescheduled tours are not eligible for a refund.

In the event the tour is rescheduled by Black Beard Sports, no fee will apply. In the event the activity is cancelled by Black Beard Sports, a full refund will be issued.

What if I don't have a Scuba Diving Certification?

You are still able to dive, learn more about our Discover Scuba Experiences

Is the tour safe?

Yes. Safety is our top priority. All of our scuba trips are guided. Our PADI Professionals follow scuba diving standards and regulations They are also fully insured, certified and up to date with their training.

 

Where do you go? 

Our boat dives may take place on the south, east, or west side of Vieques. The exact dive sites are selected based on group composition, diver experience levels, and current weather and sea conditions to ensure the safest and best possible experience.

What if it rains?

Light rain does not cancel the trips. Trips are only canceled if weather conditions are unsafe (such as high winds or thunderstorms). If we must cancel for safety reasons, we will contact you directly.

Can kids join the tour?

Yes. Please note that for all dive activities the age limit is 10. Provided they are comfortable on the water, good swimmers and can follow the instructions of the dive professional.

What should I bring to the tour?

Limit the number of valuables you bring with you.

​We recommend bringing a towel to dry off with after the tour.

Reef friendly sunscreen and/or sun shirts. *We sell both at our retail store

And if you had a great time, gratuities for your guide are always appreciated​.
