FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Is the tour safe?

Yes. Safety is our top priority. All tours are guided, include a full safety briefing and how to use equipment. Our guides are experienced professionals who know the island and monitor conditions daily.

What are we expected to see?

You’ll explore calm coastal waters, with views of mangroves canals, beaches, and a variety of marine life and costal wildlife throughout your kayak/paddle board tour.

What if it rains?

Light rain does not cancel the tour. Tours are only canceled if weather conditions are unsafe (such as high winds or thunderstorms). If we must cancel for safety reasons, we will contact you directly.

Can kids join the tour?

Yes. Children 5 years and older are welcome, provided they are with an adult and follow guide instructions. The tour is suitable for most ages and fitness levels. A relaxed pace—no prior kayak/paddle board experience needed but recommended.

Where do you go for kayak/paddle board tours?

Tres Palmitas is a calm, shallow bay within the Vieques National Wildlife Refuge, surrounded by mangroves and natural coastline. Its protected waters are ideal for peaceful daytime kayaking and spotting fish and birdlife in a quiet, undeveloped setting.

What should I Bring to the tour?

We suggest casual clothes that can get wet.

Reef friendly sunscreen and/or sun shirts. *We sell both at our retail store

Any shoes that can get wet. Water shoes, sandals, and flip flops are acceptable.

We recommend bringing a towel to dry off with after the tour.

And if you had a great time, gratuities for your guide are always appreciated.
